Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our pet care services in Lakeview and the Greater New Orleans area.

Pricing

How much does dog grooming cost in New Orleans?

It depends on which service your dog needs and how big they are, so there are three tiers:

  • A bath starts at $30. Bath, blowout, nail trim, ear cleaning and cologne, with no cutting.
  • An FFF groom (sanitary cut) starts at $50. Everything in the bath, plus a tidy-up of the paws, pads, rear, underbelly and face — your dog keeps their coat length.
  • A full groom starts at $65. Everything in the bath, plus a body haircut. Full grooms for Poodle and Doodle mixes start at $75, because those coats take considerably longer to work through.

Prices step up with your dog's size. The full price menu lists every service at every size, so you can see the exact figure before you book.

Website prices are estimates and may vary depending on coat length and condition. We will always talk to you before doing anything that changes the price you were quoted.

Why might my final price be higher than the website price?

Website prices are based on estimate and may vary depending on coat length and condition. Matting and behavioral issues may also lead to an increased final price. We will always talk to you before doing anything that changes the price you were quoted.

What grooming add-ons do you offer?

Add-ons include nail polish ($10), blueberry facial ($10), oatmeal facial ($10), teeth brushing ($10), flea shampoo ($10), de-shedding treatment ($10–$20), paw or nose balm ($7) and a spa treat such as ice cream or a filled Kong ($6). See the full price list.

Grooming

What is included in a full groom?

Every full groom includes a bath, blowout, nail trim, ear cleaning, cologne, and a full body groom. We start with a health check to identify any skin issues or matting before we begin.

What is an FFF groom or sanitary cut?

An FFF groom includes a bath, blowout, nail trim, ear cleaning, cologne, and a sanitary cut covering the paws, pads, rear, underbelly and face. It keeps your dog clean and comfortable without a full body haircut, and starts at $50 for small dogs.

How long does a full grooming appointment take?

A typical full groom takes between 2 to 4 hours depending on the dog's size, coat condition, and temperament. We prioritize a fear-free experience, so we never rush the process.

Do you groom Doodles and Poodles?

Yes, Doodle and Poodle mixes are our specialty. We groom standard Poodles, Goldendoodles, Labradoodles and any Poodle mix. Full grooms for Poodle and Doodle mixes are $75 for mini, $105 for medium, $125 for large and $140 for extra large. See the full price list.

Do you groom anxious or senior dogs?

Absolutely. We specialize in fear-free handling and take extra time with anxious or senior pets to ensure they feel safe and comfortable throughout their spa day.

Daycare & Boarding

What's the difference between dog daycare and boarding?

Daycare is for daytime play and socialization while you're at work or running errands. Boarding is for overnight stays where your dog enjoys a home-like environment with 24/7 care.

Do you offer cage-free boarding?

We offer a kennel-alternative environment. While dogs have their own private, comfortable suites for sleeping and eating, they spend the majority of their day in supervised, cage-free play areas.

What is included in the boarding nightly rate?

Boarding includes full access to our daycare play areas for daily exercise and socialization, a private suite with comfortable bedding, feeding on your dog's own schedule, and medication administered as needed at no extra charge.

Do boarding guests get to play during the day?

Yes. Boarding guests receive full access to our daycare play areas, so they get plenty of exercise and socialization throughout their stay rather than sitting in a kennel.

Can I bring my dog's own food and bedding?

Yes, and we recommend it. Bringing your pet's regular food avoids upset stomachs, and you are welcome to bring a familiar toy or blanket from home to help them settle in.

Can you give my dog medication while boarding?

Yes. We follow your specific feeding schedule and can administer medications as needed at no extra charge.

Do you take puppies?

Yes. Our specialized puppy daycare focuses on gentle socialization and positive reinforcement, helping puppies grow into well-adjusted adult dogs.

Visiting & Booking

How early should I book my pet's stay?

For grooming, we recommend booking 1-2 weeks in advance. For boarding, especially during holidays or Mardi Gras, we suggest booking at least 3-4 weeks ahead of time.
